Red Wings' game score,and comments...
Red Wings 5,Kings 2... Gustav Nyquist,and Pavel Datsyuk scored twice,as Red Wings scored four goals,in 9:23,in first period,and cruised to a win... Tomas Tatar had game winning goal... in October,the Red Wings were 6-2-2,not bad a start for a team that is supposed to struggle to make the Stanley Cup playoffs... way too early to get excited,but i do have a smile...

the Red Wings simply out-played the Capitals,in third period... Pavel Datsyuk scored insurance goal,with just under a minute left in game,with a shot on goal from about 20 feet away(above the thigh pad,and the elbow)that was through a window that was about four inches square,and with the puck being three inches round,by one inch flat,it was the best shot i have seen this season,by anyone... what a shot!!!!!!! he is back playing after a separated shoulder,but is not 100%,in game shape,yet... two years ago,when Sidney Crosby,of the Pittsburgh Penguins,was out with a concussion,the Hockey News came out with a poll,"who was the best player in the NHL?" guess who was on top of that poll??? you guessed it:Pavel Datsyuk... in my opinion,Crosby,and Datsyuk are number one,and one A,in the NHL,on that list... it all depends who you like,because both are simply great...

i am very sorry that i have taken a lot of days off lately,but my family was in Europe in the last two weeks,so i took some extra days off,and the Red Wings have had one game,since last Thursday,and only two games in a week,i believe... so it has been slow,but it will pick up shortly...

Red Wings' game score,and commentary...
Red Wings 4,Penguins 3,overtime... with two goals,in last 2:40,(scored by Henrik Zetterberg,and Niklas Kronwall,exactly two minutes apart),Red Wings tied game,and in overtime,Justin Abdelkader scored the game winning goal(GWG)... basically,the Penguins dominated the first 57 minutes,lost control,and then lost game,in overtime... almost makes up for the referees' screwup,against the Anaheim Ducks... ALMOST!!!!!!

Red Wings' game score,and commentary...
Canadiens 2,Red Wings 1,overtime... a disallowed goal by Pavel Datsyuk,in the third period,proves to be the catalyst for Montreal,as they score two goals in last four minutes,to win game,over the Red Wings... Carey Price did a veteran move by leaning into Justin Abdelkader,causing goaltender interference,as Datsyuk scored what appeared to be the Red Wings' second goal of the night... however,referees called off goal to keep it 1-0,Red Wings,and then Montreal took advantage of a very good third period,and overtime,for the Canadiens... now i know why i dislike the Canadiens... the broadcast of the game was so boring,because the camera angles did not show too much passing of the puck,because where the camera was in Montreal was too high up,and it was like showing ants running around on ice... Red Wings got a point,on a night that,even though they played very well,if it was not for the stellar play of goaltender Jimmy Howard,the Red Wings get nada,tonight...

like i said a long time ago,"a journey through the game of hockey,and for the pure love of the game",i watched the jubilant Edmonton Oilers beat the Tampa Bay Lightning,3-2,as Ryan Nugent-Hopkins scored the game winning goal past Lightning goaltender Ben Bishop,with 3:25,left in regulation,for their very first win of the 2014-2015 NHL season... Edmonton may be a young team,who may not make the Stanley Cup playoffs,but to see a team jump for joy,and win their first game of the season was worth watching the game... i was honestly rooting for the Oilers,and really smiled when they won the game... that is the beautiful game of hockey,and a real journey,too...

Henrik Zetterberg had five points in two wins against the Maple Leafs,this weekend,for the Red Wings... yesterday,he had four assists in a 4-1 win,last night,and tonight he had the game winning goal(GWG),in a 1-0 win against the Maple Leafs... he was critical of his own play before the weekend,and then he went off this weekend,with five points,in two games... WAY TO GO,Henrik!!!!!!!!!!

Red Wings 1,Maple Leafs 0,overtime... with ten seconds left,in overtime,captain Henrik Zetterberg scored with a rocket from about 35 feet,off the goalpost,to win a typical Maple Leafs/Red Wings game-a real dogfight... both Jonas Gustavsson(for the Red Wings),and Jonathan Bernier(for the Maple Leafs)had outstanding games in net,period... what a game!!!!!!!!

Bruins 3,Red Wings 2,shootout... Red Wings got a much needed point,played a good game,and Jimmy Howard had a very very good game,so not so bad(37 out of 39 saves)... Red Wings 1-1-1,for the season... shootout was over quick,with two shootout goals for the Bruins,on two shots,but honestly,the Bruins needed the game more than the Red Wings,so i am not so bummed...

as the Red Wings were introduced as a team,there was a surprise for them:Pavel Datsyuk skated out in uniform to give the fans a thrill... i guess he wanted to do it,as he is not supposed to play until late October,or early November,because of a separated shoulder,but honestly,it was just a thrill to see him skate out on the ice... normally,you see injured players in a suit...

Sharks' goaltender Antti Niemi shut down the defending Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings,for his 28th career shutout,as the Kings fell flat on their collective faces... three goals,in second period,and two of those,in fourteen seconds,doomed the Kings... note:i had to turn off the sound,because the NBC announce team was so biased towards the Kings that it was almost unbearable to listen to even five minutes of them announcing the game... they have the worst announcers in the business,period...

i have a question about this Red Wings' team,because this is basically the same team,as last season... however last season's team was a basic M*A*S*H unit,with so many injuries that you,as a fan,never really knew what team would take the ice,from game to game... basically,flip a coin on whether the Red Wings make the Stanley Cup playoffs,for the 24th straight season...

Penguins/Red Wings,tonight... game six of preseason... note:Red Wings' captain Henrik Zetterberg says that this week is important for Daniel Alfordsson to decide whether he wants to play,and if his back is going to hold up in the long term... as of right now,he is unsigned... my opinion:if his back holds up,he will play,but it may take a couple weeks to have Alfordsson figure out if his back will hold up for a long season...
