note:because of the afternoon's Green Bay Packers/New England Patriots game,which i noted earlier as a 26-21 Packers win,i just saw the replay of the Red Wings/Canucks game... well,thirty one seconds into the game,the power,and lights went out on one side of Joe Louis Arena ice surface,so after a thirty three minute delay,the Red Wings rolled with two goals,in the first period(Niklas Kronwall,and Gustav Nyquist),and in the second period,Pavel Datsyuk scored the first of his two goals,to make it 3-1,and then Danny DeKeyser scored to make it 4-2,and then to top off the scoring,Datsyuk used an old curling motion,to score a long range empty net goal... Linden Vey scored twice for the Canucks,and the Canucks sandwiched a Shawn Matthias goal early in third period in-between Vey's two goals,but it was not enough to beat the win-hungry Red Wings......

Vancouver Canucks/Red Wings,this morning... note:the only game today,in the NHL... because of the Packers/Patriots game,i will see the game on replay(a strange happening,i may say)... i am now laughing...

as of right now,before today's games,the Red Wings are in third place,in the Atlantic Division,with 31 points... the top three teams,in each division,automatically make the Stanley Cup playoffs... Red Wings have won five of last six games,and in December,they have fourteen games,ten of those games,are at Joe Louis Arena.. now,it is time to make hay at home to cement the team's place in the playoff run,because points in October,and the early months count as much as points in March/April... so make hay,Red Wings!!!

two goals by Stephen Weiss,and three goals in the second period gave the Red Wings just enough momentum to defeat Ottawa,last night... a great glove save,by Jimmy Howard just before the third period(end of game)buzzer finally iced game,because,even though the Red Wings had a 4-1 lead in third period,two goals,one in last thirty five seconds,almost gave Ottawa a point in a game that seemed out of reach for the Senators most of the night,was almost a Red Wings' collapse that was epic,but not for that great glove save,by Howard... the Red Wings need to play better,in the third period,and that is fact...

honestly,the San Jose Sharks have not done anything great this season,and there are rumblings that the Sharks need to fire their head coach,Todd McLellan... as they are 9-7-2,they play the Columbus Blue Jackets,today... Columbus may be 5-10-1,losing nine straight games,in the process,but they are getting their number one goaltender(Sergei Bobrovsky,4-4,when healthy),and Artem Anisimov back in the lineup,but they have eight players out with an injury,so the Sharks may have a good game,in store,but the Sharks lost to the Blue Jackets,5-4,October 23rd... the Sharks did beat the Tampa Bay Lightning,2-1,two days ago,on their seven game road trip,but lost to the Florida Panthers,and the Chicago Blackhawks,on this road trip... i do not what to think of the Sharks;good team,one game,then a bad team,the next game(inconsistent,to say the least),but at 9-7-2,they need to beat the Blue Jackets,like a good team should,or are the Sharks a bad team today??? who knows,right now???

sorry,folks,for the delay,but here it is:last night's game against the Red Wings was a game that Steven Stamkos,of the Tampa Bay Lightning,scored two goals,and the Red Wings had to play catch up after a very slow start,the Red Wings had too many penalties,and fell behind 3-1,but the Red Wings refuse to quit,and tied game with 7.7 seconds left,with Gustav Nyquist scoring the game-tying goal... Niklas Kronwall,and Johan Franzen both had a goal and assist,for the Red Wings,and the Red Wings got a much needed point...
