Sharks 3,Red Wings 2...the Red Wings' team defense around goaltender Jimmy Howard basically sucked,along with his lackluster play in net,and the Sharks played better and looked hungrier than the Red Wings on this night... Pavel Datsyuk looked very good for his first game of the season,but with very little help,or firepower,tonight,the Red Wings played flat for most of the game... a late goal by the Red Wings did not change a thing...

Red Wings 1,Capitals 0... Andreas Athanasiou scored his first NHL goal,on a zero angle shot,that hit Braden Holtby's left leg and pad and trickled through his legs,and into the net... Petr Mrazek got his sixth career NHL shutout... in the first period,referees,and the NHL "War Room" found a Red Wings goal "inconclusive",even though replays showed the puck in the net,and it swept out by Holtby(it was not even close),so karma appears to be with the Red Wings,in them winning the game,1-0,tonight...

Dallas Stars 4,Red Wings 1... two empty net goals decided game... referees just were awful... they sucked... they missed head shot with knee,given to Jimmy Howard(concussion),as he was on ice,and a leaping elbow to Jonathan Ericsson that caused a facial cut (Ericsson hit face on glass),and head coach Jeff Blashill to go ballistic...

Red Wings 2,Maple Leafs 1,overtime... Jakub Kindl scored game winning overtime goal (GWG),as two very strange bounces of the puck resulted in both teams' regulation goals... James Reimer,of the Maple Leafs,let a bouncing puck,shot by Henrik Zetterberg,go off the top of his blocker,and into the net,in the first period,and Petr Mrazek had a puck go off the knob of his goalie stick,with 1:02 left,in regulation,to tie it at one... the goal was credited to Dion Phaneuf,of the Maple Leafs...

the best game that the Red Wings have played this season,against a quality opponent,last night... Jimmy Howard had his best game,since he got hurt,last season... allowing Tampa Bay just a goal,when they,right now,are struggling to score goals... Dylan Larkin may be a teenager,but he may be the best player that the Red Wings have had since the team drafted Pavel Datsyuk,as he scored the game winning goal(GWG),last night... i mean for a rookie season,because he is very impressive in his hockey IQ,and vision on the ice... the Red Wings are an interesting enigma,because,early,they are showing flashes of a very good team,they also are an inconsistent team,but they will be better when the injured players get back,especially the aforementioned Datsyuk...
