for true hockey fans,the last two Red Wings' preseason games are against the Toronto Maple Leafs:September 27th,in Detroit,and September 28th,in Toronto... the Red Wings open the regular season,against the Buffalo Sabres,on October 2nd,2013,at Joe Louis Arena,in Detroit... the San Jose Sharks play the Red Wings only twice:once in Detroit,October 21st,2013,and in San Jose,January 9th,2014... note to true fans:because of NHL realignment,every team will play at least one game,in every arena,this season.... it is to showcase the new schedule... it is not always that way...
