Panthers 3,Red Wings 2,shootout... odd fact:Red Wings have lost ten straight shootouts,a NHL record... the last time Red Wings won a shootout,was on February 28,2012... San Jose Sharks' fans should remember that game:they lost the game 2-1,at the Shark Tank,in a shootout,to the Red Wings... former Red Wings' player Damien Brunner had the shootout winner,that night... it has been that long since the Red Wings won,via shootout... the first goal,by Jonathan Ericsson was disallowed because Panthers' goaltender did a flop that would make any pole vaulter very proud,to draw an interference,on Danny Cleary... however,the Red Wings played a very bad third period,even though they were up,2-0,after two periods,on the Panthers... Red Wings' goaltender Jimmy Howard had an outstanding game through sixty five minutes,but the Red Wings could not buy a break,in the shootout... note:they are 2 for 16 in shootouts,this season...
