Red Wings' game score,and commentary...

Islanders 2,Red Wings 1... another ugly game for the Red Wings... four goals,in the last five games, all losses, but points in three of them... referees could not call a penalty on the Islanders, even though,Travis Hamonic cross checked Gustav Nyquist head first in the boards, with seconds left in game, and many scrums after stop in play... however, the Red Wings clearly got out-played by the Islanders through most of the game, but, folks,a penalty is a penalty, from opening puck drop to final buzzer... the Red Wings,on this five game skid, have been hammered by teams who basically want to rough up the Red Wings, and the referees have not called too many penalties overall,at least,in the last two games... on a scale of one to ten:i rate the referees' work,an one... honestly, four goals,in five games, will not win games in the NHL,let alone Red Wings' games... defensively, overall, the Red Wings are playing well, but offensively, they can not shoot a barn from point blank range,in not scoring goals... eleven times, they missed the net, including a short-handed breakaway,by Darren Helm, late in the game... good teams go through these droughts, but good teams always come out smiling,at the end of their droughts... being a fan of the Red Wings right now is brutal, but i am still smiling,folks...
