2015-2016 Anaheim Ducks,and a personal story...

note:my time with the Anaheim Ducks goes back to the team's opening day,October 8th,1993,when they played the Red Wings... they lost 7-2,to the Red Wings, that night... funny thing about that night is that i listened to the game on radio,in Anaheim... i was doing renovation work on a house(one of many small jobs, while in Orange County),but the cheapskate got himself arrested, and i never got paid for the work... now,for this year's preview of the Ducks:they were the best team in the Western Conference,in the regular season, with 109 points(tied with the St. Louis Blues),but one very odd thing that does not happen too often happened with the Ducks... they scored only ten more goals that they allowed,as a team,in the entire season... a winning team usually scores twenty or more goals that they allowed, and yet,the Ducks did not do that... why??? simple:they were very tough to beat in one goal games, they rarely gave up a lead in the third period,or simply scored a critical goal,in the third period to beat your team... they won 26 games,at home, and 25 games,on the road(26-12-3/25-12-4),43 regulation/overtime wins-tied for third in the NHL,and eight shootout wins... tough team to play, last season... Frederik Andersen was a rock in goal,Ryan Getzlaf, along with Corey Perry was a dynamic duo(one or the other just "killed" a team every night, with an outstanding play),and stingy team defense, just clamped down on a team, when the Ducks were ahead,or Getzlaf and Perry would make a team pay with an outstanding play in the third period almost every night, and the team had a rather nasty edge of physicality that not many teams had... question for the Ducks:can they do it again??? do not bet against them...
