Red Wings/Avalanche alumni game,tonight... note:i really do not expect fireworks,but with these two teams' alumni,who honestly knows??? it will be fun to see both teams' all-time stars on the ice,even though,i may have a bias and "hatred" for the Avalanche... funny thing about this game:i actually was a fan of the Avalanche,because when the franchise moved from Quebec City(i was a big fan of the Quebec Nordiques),they actually won the Stanley Cup their first year in Denver,by beating the Florida Panthers in four games... one of those games was a triple overtime 1-0 thriller(Uwe Krupp scored the goal),and i saw the game living in Reno(my then roommate turned shortly into an ass,and being roommates ended in a verbal spat)... for being a fan of the Quebec Nordiques,i was happy,because that Stanley Cup winning team was basically the same team that moved from Quebec City... so,tonight,i will smile broadly when the game is on,hoping to see some nastiness,but still memories of those years of both teams fighting for the Stanley Cup every year will flood over my mind,during the alumni game...
