the key to Red Wings' season will be goaltending,and whether they can be mostly healthy,as a team... with thirteen players over 30 years old,they needed rest after last season... major injuries to the team last year did two things,for Detroit,one positive,and one major negative,for the team... the positive was giving the minor leaguers a chance to play in Detroit;the negative was the star players basically played too much hockey,with the World Cup,and the Olympics,last year... Thursday night,is opening night,for the NHL,and i will be thinking about mom,because she kept telling me that she would not see me until June,and i would laugh,and Thursday night,i will be smiling broadly,saying that to mom,and maybe shedding a tear,too...
