commentary... suspension update...
Pittsburgh Penguins' Matt Cooke suspended through round one of NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, for his hit(elbowing)to the head,of the New York Rangers' Ryan McDonagh... he is a repeat offender of rule 48.5,and was a headhunter before the rule was imposed, this year... he concussed Marc Savard,of the Boston Bruins, last year, and was not suspended then, which was a crime, and i blame "the Three Stooges" (meaning Colin Campbell,Mike Murphy, and NHL Commissioner,Gary Bettman),for a lack of NHL discipline, and being consistent,in doling out suspensions or fines... if a Red Wings' player, got called for excessive discipline, and did not get suspended,or fined,if he deserved it,i would be calling for his head too,but the Red Wings are basically disciplined,to keep elbows down, and, right now,the team are among the top three in the NHL,in not giving up power plays(amount of time short-handed,about nine minutes a game)...
