commentary...

NHL history was set today,when Vancouver scored three two-man advantage goals,in a playoff game... the three power play goals were scored,in 1:55,which is the fastest time that three power play goals,since rules were changed,in 1957... the Red Wings and Canadiens did the same thing,under the old rules,in 1954,when the penalized player was not allowed to leave the penalty box,after goal was scored... Sami Salo's two goals were sixteen seconds apart,tied with Larry Murphy,for the NHL record,for the two fastest power play goals in the playoffs,since the rules were changed,in 1957... by the way,Bernard Geoffrion scored two power play goals,12 seconds apart,under the old rule,in 1955... Geoffion wore number 5,for Montreal,and in the Hockey Hall of Fame... a fourth generation member of that family plays for Nashville-one Blake Geoffrion... the only family to have four generations to play,in NHL...
