commentary...

the game between the Red Wings, and the Blackhawks,by Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller, was a rough and tumble affair, like normally the games between the two teams have been in the past... both goaltenders had first periods to remember, and were on their games, and the simple fact that both teams were snippy,to say the least, made it a very, very interesting game to watch... two goals in thirty one seconds,in the second period made the Blackhawks irritable, and upped the tension between the two teams going into the third period... the third period was controversial,at least, for the Blackhawks... Patrick Kane scored on a beautiful breakaway, just after a blown boarding call by Niklas Hjalmarsson,on Johan Franzen(a penalty that was not called, and it was definitely a penalty),and then Andrew Shaw appeared to even the score,at two,but referees called goalie interference on Shaw,to disallow the goal(to tell you the truth,it should have counted, but Shaw was in the crease throughout, and really did not interfere with Howard, but was the opinion,of the referees that he did interfere with Howard(a real skimpy call on Shaw,i have to admit),but it appeared to be a call that was a make up call on the Blackhawks, for the blatant non-penalty call on Franzen... unfortunately, for the Blackhawks, who had dominated early in the third period,by out-shooting the Red Wings,7-0,the first shot for the Red Wings in the third period, was a howitzer,by one Pavel Datsyuk, under the crossbar, just almost identical to the one he scored, against the Anaheim Ducks,to make it,3-1,and it came just seconds, after the Blackhawks had apparently had evened the score, but that goal by the Blackhawks was disallowed, and the third goal by Datsyuk really made the Blackhawks feel cheated(on both questionable calls, both teams got hosed)... the last half of the third period, was a parade to the penalty box for the seemingly frustrated, and angry Blackhawks, and to tell you the absolute truth,i loved the parade...
