game score,and commentary...

Stars 4,Red Wings 1... honestly, score does not indicate how well Red Wings played,overall... out-shooting Dallas,39-25,and having a goal disallowed, early in second period,to seemingly to pull within,2-1,by Brian Ralfalski(on a legitimate goaltender interference bump,on Tomas Holmstrom, just before puck went in net),Red Wings then shortly gave up third goal on a scrum, between players,in front of Howard, after two Red Wings collided with each other,at blue line, and Krys Barch(Stars' player)lifted it over Howard's shoulder,as players collided,in front of Howard, and blinded his vision... the game winning goal(a short-handed goal, just before first period ended)was actually stopped by Howard, but as Howard slid toward net,and left goal post, the puck trickled over goal line... every bounce went Dallas' way tonight, and simply the way Kari Lehtonin(for the Stars)was playing in goal, and the way that the Stars were playing defense around net(actually rather nasty, and chippy),Detroit had very few chances to really score, and any breakaway chance was simply stopped, including one on Zetterberg, that could have made game very interesting,at the end of game... Dallas got an empty-net goal when Red Wings could not control puck,in the Dallas Stars' zone, and an another bad bounce ended the game,in the back in the Detroit goal... just one of those strange games, where the score does not indicate how well the Wings played, but i must give Lehtonin credit for being rock steady, tonight, and Dallas,in getting every critical bounce of puck,in game... the game was a rather nasty affair, because both teams simply do not like each other, and there was a major scrum, including Howard(who got a roughing penalty),and a separate fight, between the teams,in the third period... Wings still have a ten point lead, over both Nashville, and Chicago,in Central Division...
