Bonus:in 1947,NHL reached an agreement,with the original trustees,P.D. Ross,and Cooper Smeaton,of the Stanley Cup,granting ownership and control,and not allowing challenges,from other leagues,for the Stanley Cup... a 2006 Ontario Superior Court case found the original trustees had gone against Lord Stanley's conditions,in the 1947 settlement...
