hockey history...

only game to go without a goal longer than last night,in NHL history,was the first game,of the 1927 Stanley Cup Finals,between the Boston Bruins,and the original Ottawa Senators,which ended in a 0-0 tie,after sixty minutes,and one twenty minute overtime period... the 1927 Stanley Cup Finals ended with Ottawa winning two games,with two ties... it was the first year of operation,of NHL... Bonus:in 1947,NHL reached an agreement,with the original trustees,P.D. Ross,and Cooper Smeaton,of the Stanley Cup,granting ownership and control,and not allowing challenges,from other leagues,for the Stanley Cup... a 2006 Ontario Superior Court case found the original trustees had gone against Lord Stanley's conditions,in the 1947 settlement...
