Central Division breakdown-Columbus Blue Jackets...

this is breakdown of every team in Central Division:
Columbus was last in division last year, with an anemic power play, and an inconsistent goaltender... they have improved their number one power play unit, and their defense somewhat, but with them being 23 points(104-81),in arrears,of the Red Wings last year, they will be improved, but will not make the playoffs, this year... they added Jeff Carter, from the Philadelphia Flyers, and James Wieniewski, from the Montreal Canadiens, for grit, and both are very good passers, and they should solidify that top power play group, along with Rick Nash... however, their main weakness is the fact that they still do not have much long term firepower(consistency in firepower)that you can say that they will score game in,and game out... their strength should be at goaltender, but Steve Mason has not lived up to his very good rookie season(2008-2009 Calder Trophy(rookie of the year) winner, and Vezina finalist, that year),and without his major improvement, and being a top-tier goaltender, the Blue Jackets will fight the St. Louis Blues, for being in fourth place,at end of season...
