of the three teams chasing the Red Wings for eighth place,there is only one team that has a very good chance to get the eighth spot,if tied with Detroit,right now:the Dallas Stars... the Stars has the first tiebreaker,right now,against the Red Wings:they have eighteen regulation/overtime wins,to Detroit's seventeen ROW's(as the NHL states it,in standings)... the last game of season,for both teams,is April 27th(the last day of the regular season),in Dallas,and it actually may be the actual last game of the 2013 NHL schedule,so the eighth spot,and playoff berth,in the Western Conference,may come down to the last day... surprise:the last game of the 2013 NHL schedule,is in Los Angeles,when the San Jose Sharks play the defending Stanley Cup Champion Kings...
