Dallas Stars 4,San Jose Sharks 3,shootout loss... the Sharks have 27 regulation/overtime wins,worst among playoff contenders... that little stat is first tiebreaker,among tied teams,at end of season,so let us say,for example,San Jose is tied for seventh in points,with Los Angeles(tied with Sharks,with 27 regulation/overtime wins,right now),and Phoenix,San Jose is out of playoffs,because of fewer regulation/overtime wins than both of them... right now Los Angeles is in ninth place,one point behind Sharks)... the shootout loss really did hurt,because the Sharks did have a 3-2 lead,with less than two minutes left(Dallas tied game up,at 3,with 1:15 left)... i want good hockey played,and the Sharks played very well tonight,but they keep losing points,to opponents,in games,and that is not good,and the games,and the season is ebbing away... one good fact:they play Pacific Division teams,at end of season,so they do have a shot,at making Stanley Cup playoffs,by winning their division,but they better start winning some games,in regulation,and/or overtime,but a well-known fact,is that nearing the playoffs,every team plays harder,and it is not so easy to get regulation wins,or even overtime wins,but the San Jose Sharks are in deep trouble... are they the team who were in Western Conference Finals,the last two years? or are they a team that will be in the playoffs,but go one,and out? the rest of the season will tell...
