the Carolina Hurricanes' franchise has not won a regular season game,in Detroit,since November 14,1989(8,166 days,and counting),when the team was in Hartford,as the Whalers... however,they did win,in the first game of the 2002 Stanley Cup Finals,3-2,in overtime,in Detroit,on June 4,2002,but Red Wings won Stanley Cup,in five games... it is the longest stretch of days,between wins,between teams,in one place,in NHL history...
