odd,but true...

Ryan Clowe,of the San Jose Sharks did something illegal,last night... he broke up(stick-checked the puck)a breakup,during the last three and a half minutes,of regulation,of the Sharks' 6-5 shootout win,over the Los Angeles Kings... it would seem to be all right,except for one thing-he was sitting on the bench-and the referees missed it... it was supposed to be a two minute penalty,and both teams combining for seven power play goals,in game,that could have made the difference... a loophole in the NHL rulebook also means no supplemental discipline,for Clowe,either... so the Kings got hosed twice...
