Pacific Division breakdown-Los Angeles Kings...

the Kings are a very good team, with last season's record,of 46-40-6,for 98 points, made playoffs, but finished fourth,in the Pacific Division... of their 46 wins, they were tied, with Pittsburgh, with the most shootout wins(10),which is the second tiebreaker, for playoff seeding, but maybe the most important one(36 regulation wins)put them fourth in division... they have a very very good goaltender,in Jonathan Quick, who stopped 51 shots,in a masterful 5-0 shutout,of the Red Wings,in Detroit,on December 13,2010... i hated that game, because of the shutout, but admired the great effort, because it showed me how well he played that night, and that he was an elite goaltender... their team offense is anchored by Anze Kopitar, who did miss games last season, because of an injury, but with a boatful,of former Philadelphia Flyers, one Kings' player(Simon Gagne),dubbed the Kings "Philadelphia West",because Mike Richards,Gagne,Justin Williams, coach Terry Murray, assistant John Stevens, and general manager Dean Lombardi, had roots, with Philadelphia...
Drew Doughty, who anchors the Kings' defense,is a free agent, but other teams would have to pay a hefty price, and most likely,no teams want to take that big a hit on their salary cap, because he is a young stud in the NHL,and he reminds me of a young Nicklas Lidstrom(which is a compliment),in the way that he plays, and respects the game, but he plays the game with an edge, and grit(never mind that),to the way that he plays the game of hockey...
